I have this red and black Asian-style shirt. I don't even remember where I got it, but I never get a chance to wear it. It's sort of dressy, but not really. Well, today is my in-laws' family Christmas party, so I'm wearing the shirt.

I'm wearing my new favorite black pants from Steve & Barry's. In this photo, you can also sort of see my new hair. I'm having a difficult time photographing it. It's basically brown, and I'm growing it into a bob that's longer in the front and short in the back. My original intention was Victoria Bechkam's hairstyle. My hair is a little thicker than hers, thoug, so I'm not sure it'll work out the same. Regardless, I'm actually enjoying growing it longer this time. (I do this nearly ever year, by the way.)

I know, I know. The red & white striped shirt again. What can I say? It's my new favorite shirt. I'll probably wear it out Thursday night, too. Besides, it felt festive.

I got new black pants at Steve & Barry's this morning (which is also where I got that awesome shirt). I have a very difficult time finding pants that fit me, since I'm barely over 5 feet tall. (I like to say I'm 5'2" on a good day.) Almost all pants are too long, even petite sizes. These pants are only a little too long. I'll deal.

I shouldn't even be posting photos right now. I should be in bed, but I can't seem to sleep.

First photo: Friday, Dec. 21st. I had my hair done - a trim and a darker color. I felt like dressing in dark tones, so I opted for a dark grey t-shirt with a light grey sweater on top and brown pants.

Today's outfit was sweats and a tshirt accompanied by my new Tinkerbell bathrobe. I'm not going to bother with a photo. Just use your imagination!

Hubby and I celebrated our Christmas today since we won't be together on Tuesday. We went for very meaningful and thoughtful gifts this year. I never thought I'd cry upon opening a gift, but I did twice this year! It was a very good Christmas for us both.

It seems like a sinus cold is just starting for me. Yuck. I'm off to bed.

Have to start somewhere

Hello all. I started this blog because my sister has one like it. I thought it was a pretty cool idea.

I call myself unorthodox, though I'm not naive enough to think I'm completely original. I do think, though, that I have my own style and way of living that's not quite like anyone else, at least not the norm.

I'll start with a photo of what I wore yesterday. I was feeling adventurous, and I've been lately obsessed with PotC.

I'm getting my hair cut today, and I'm very excited about it. I've been growing it a little longer than usual. My mother-in-law is a beautician, and I let her experiment with me. I'll see what she has planned next today.
